For my Metamorphosis project I choose to do a wine glass transforming into a flamingo. I began the project by creating the first and last stage. By creating the first and last stages first, I knew what the two middle stages had to look like in order for it to look like it was transforming into something new. My favorite stage was the third stage. The bottom goes from wood grain to water. So in order to show the transition even more, I went from brown to blue. Instead of painting the wine glasses white, I just painted them with clear glaze since the clay itself was already white. As each stage went on, I painted more and more pink on the glass to show how the flamingo was forming from the glass and the liquid inside. I originally planned to leave the background white but then changed it to orange to make the glass pop. Overall I am pleased with the finished product.
