For Still Life we had to take a picture of a view we liked from the set up in the classroom. The view I chose is pictured with my sketch. I had a difficult time drawing the vase and objects in the correct spot so we folded my paper into four squares, then we drew four quadrants lightly on my paper to match and draw the objects correctly. Even though charcoal was very messy, I enjoyed using it as a medium. I used to crushed up charcoal to begin with all over lightly, then used the charcoal sticks (white and black), erasers, and blending sticks or my fingers to blend to add texture and value to my picture. The only thing I didn't like was that my border at the end wasn't clean and that bugged me.
